Balkan Open 2021 held in Tešanj 25.09.2021 / Bosnia and Herzegovina, participation number of entries 350, number of clubs 61, number of countries 10.
Balkan Open was organized by CBS Tešanj and Kickboxing Federation Bosnia and Herzegovina.Competition supervisor was Mr.Salko Zildžić,chief judge Neđo Bratić,Bosnia and Herzegovina.Competition held on 3 tatamis and 1 ring.Event was heald in sport atmosphere.Balkan Open 2021 another great WAKO event has been successfully organised traditionaly 15 times.Top level of organisation has shown that,year after year this signification tournament has improved in every way-from sports,competing,overality and organisation to hospitality.Both female and male kickboxers has shown high quality in their performances and presented all the beauty of this sport.The complete event was broadcast live on Live Streamin TV.By this we would like to show our respect and thank to Promotor,Mr.Alija Ogrić
Balkan Open was attended by Mayor of Tešanj and Deputy Prime Minister of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, as well as the sponsors of the event.Partipacipated competitors from Russia,Portugal,Slovenia,Hungary,Croatia,Serbia,Moldavia,Makedonia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Karlovac Open 2021 – European Cup – 1. Memorial of Mihael Javorović
In the period from 28 to 30 May 2021 European Cup "Karlovac Open 2021." was held in Karlovac, which brought together 1713 competitors from 27 countries and 111 clubs. The competition was held under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Croatia, Ministry of Tourism and Sport of Croatia, Ministry of defense of Croatia, the Croatian Olympic Committee, and with support from local community, and organized by the Croatian kickboxing Federation and Kickboxing club "Tigar", as executive organizer (Mr. Zoran Cicvara)
The competition was held in two sports halls in order to achieve the highest quality. In the big sports hall there were fights on the 8 tatamies, in the tatami disciplines (Point Fighting, Light Contact and Kick Light ), while in the another sport hall a competition was held in 2 rings, in disciplines (Low Kick, Full Contact and K-1).
On the first day of the competition, on Friday, May 28, beginners fight in Point fighting, and it was held qualification in ring sport.
On the second day of the competition, on Saturday, May 29, a lot of competition (in point fighting) was held in the city sport hall, while at the same time a fights in ring disciplines was held in the gymnasium hall - qualifications in all ring disciplines.
On the third day of the competition on Sunday May 30 were held in the city sport hall of the light contact and Kick light disciplines, while the finals of all categories in the ring disciplines were held in the smaller gymnasium sport hall.
The competition ended without any serious injury, which can be thanked to very high-quality judges - more than 70 judges and referees from almost all participated countries (chief referee for tatami sports was Bris Pavičić form Croatia, and chief referees for ring sports were Tomislav Novosel from Croatia) who have done their job at a very high level of professionalism. The WAKO tehnical director Romeo Deša has prepared the competition program so well that, despite a very large number of competitors and fights, each day the competition ended around 8 pm.

The 6th International Turkish Kickboxing European Cup, which was part of the WAKO 2021 Calendar, was held from 08-11 April 2021. There were 388 clubs, 1500 athletes, over 300 trainers, referees and administrators from 15 countries in participation. The tournament was held according to the European Cup pandemic guidelines. All participants had to have proof of a Covid-19 test before entering the hotel, and those with negative results were permitted to participate in the tournament. WAKO IF President, Mr. Roy Baker spoke at the opening ceremony. The 6th International Turkish Kickboxing European Cup is the first WAKO event held in a long time due to the pandemic. Mr. Salim Kayici, WAKO IF Vice President, WAKO Europe Vice President and the Turkish Kickboxing Federation President, thanked Mr. Roy Baker and all the participating countries, and clubs for their support of this event.

REPORT AND RESULTS FOR 1ST NATIONAL KICKBOX CHAMPIONSHIP FOR ALL AGE IN CATEGORIES (TATAMI - KICK LIGHT, RING - LOW KICK AND K1) – 21.02.2021 SKOPJE
Dear, We would like to inform you that on February 21, 2021 (Sunday) in the sports hall of A1 National Arena Boris Trajkovski in Skopje - big hall, organized by Kickboxing Maitai Federation of Macedonia (KMFM) was held the 1st National Kickboxing Championship for 2021 for all ages in categories (tatami - kick light, ring - low kick and K1).
184 competitors from a total of 24 kickboxing clubs from all over the country participated in the championship. The competitions took place on one ring and four tatami fields.
The competition took place in a great sports atmosphere and excellent organization by KMFM. This is the first national kickboxing tournament organized in the last year, since the beginning of the pandemic. The championship was held in compliance with all measures of the Protocol for sports competitions during the pandemic of KMFM and the General Protocol for sports events during the pandemic of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, and of course with permission from the Commission for Infectious Diseases of the Ministry of Health.
As part of the championship, a preparatory referee seminar was held for tatami and ring judges and a coaching seminar.
The realization of this mass competition was supported by the Agency for Youth and Sports of the Republic of Macedonia, the Karate Federation of Macedonia, as well as several domestic companies from the private sector.
The most successful kickboxing club was KBK Champion from Skopje with 22 gold medals out of a total of 29 medals and it is also the most numerous club in the competition, for which it was awarded a gold cup.
The second most successful club is KBK Gladiator from Skopje, which won 20 gold medals out of a total of 27 medals, for which it was awarded a silver cup.

Antalya, Turkey, November 28th
Athletes seminar took part at World Championships in Antalya on November 28th and it was a great success. Besides the opportunity that WAKO athletes could visit Athletes seminar at the Sport hall of the Championships and join activities there, the seminar finalized the successful year full of activities and presented it to the participants.
After welcoming speech of WAKO Vice President Espen Lund and brief explanation about Athletes Corner and our social programs, he welcomed and introduced two representatives of the IOC Sports Department Mr. Andrew Hofer and Mrs. Irina Gladkikh, who were observing for and inspection of our sport, to see how we manage our championships, our organization and to understand what we do.
Dr. Daniele Gianlorenzo, WAKO Antidoping officer introduced the importance of the constant anti-doping education as well as the news from WADA.
Borja Mendioroz from WAKO Spain shared his experience working with disabilities for both training, well being and for competition. For his passionate work he received a big applause from his colleagues and present athletes.
Athlete Committee Chairman Zsolt Moradi together with Ali Hussein Alkhaldi, who escaped from war in Syria and found his home in the refugee camp where in the meantime had built his family, talked about inclusion and how WAKO and BecauseWeCare mision gives hope to hundreds of children and women in the Za’atary refugee camp in Jordan.
